Morning Star New York
Pastor Ron and Lynette Lewis Planted in the aftermath of the 9-11 attacks in New York City, Morning Star New York (MSNY) celebrates seven years of God's goodness with ever increasing favor in one of the world's biggest cities. It seems hard to believe how much God has done in the 7 years since Pastor Rice Broocks and Ron Lewis sensed New York City needed to hear the Gospel in the aftermath of the September 11 attacks. Services began just a few weeks later and today, MSNY is reaching multi-cultural New Yorkers from all walks of life - American, African, African-American, Chinese, Filipino, German, Indian, Jewish, Korean, Malaysian, Middle Easter, among others, though small groups and other ministries.
Some of the highlights of recent years include: reaching the many youth of New York, men and women in the marketplace sharing their stories and wisdom from their respective fields - athletics, arts, politics, etc. through programs like Cleansing Stream; fruitful reconciliation efforts to bring Jewish people and Christians together through an annual exposure trip to Israel; and the annual PureLife Women's Conference that inspires and encourages women from across the US and other parts of the world.
